NFL Wildcard Picks

Cracking Christmas at the Natural’s this year. Got a bonsai tree from my Mum, a subscription to wrestling magazine Power Slam and even managed to got a few hours work done on my confidence coaching business.

Now for the gambling advice. This betting blog turns its eye to the NFL playoffs now and will put up a selection in every game from now until the Super Bowl in February.

Houston -3 (vs Cincinnati)

Houston look soft because they’ve lost their last three, but they have just been taking it easy since clinching their division. They should have too much for a team that only beat one winning team this season (the 9-7 Titans) and whose QB spent the night “by the sink and toilet” with flu.

Denver vs Pittsburgh: Conclusion No Bet

A TD looks about right here. Couldn’t bring myself to lay 7 with a banged up Big Ben, no RB and a missing Ryan Clark. Then again, Denver might have been the worst team in their own division this year. One to stay well clear of for me.

Atlanta +3 (vs NY Giants)

Atlanta are a slightly better team, playing away at a stadium with no home- field advantage, getting a FG. No rocket science here- just feels like a chance to grab 3 points in a game they should possibly be favoured in.

Detroit +11 (vs New Orleans)

Yes I know New Orleans seem to win every game by 40 points and yes I know Detroit just allowed 500 yards to a backup QB. But I have a suspicion that might be in the price and it’s time to grab double figures and get behind the sofa.

Bonus Quiz Question

Which of the above 8 teams, currently third favourite for the Super Bowl, lost this regular season to Tampa Bay (4-12) and St Louis (2-14)? The prize is another big slab of value next week.
